Saturday being the anniversary of Gunpowder Treason, the same was observed with the usual demonstrations of joy, bonfires, in different parts of the metropolis.  At one o’clock the Park and Tower guns were fired, and the effigies of Mr Guy Fawkes burnt in several places.  One figure in Holborn, dressed in blue and buff, had a very fine effect, from an acknowledged likeness in the face to a certain gentleman.
