Duke to Attend the Ball

The seventy-sixth annual meeting of St Andrew’s Society of Montreal was held on Thursday, with Lieut-Colonel Gardner in the chair. Reports were received from the charity committee, the Daughters of St Andrew, and the treasurer. In every instance the reports were declared satisfactory.

It was decided to purchase 750 Feet in Mount Royal cemetery for the internment of those whom the society should look after. The present lot in Mount Royal is regarded as far too small.

December 14 was selected as the date of the annual ball. On that date their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Connaught will be here, and will attend.
