Ball will be a big event

It was announced to-day that St Andrew’s Day would be celebrated with all the enthusiasm of former occasions, and that the famous ball to which so many look forward will be given under circumstances unprecedented in Canada. It is understood that their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Connaught attended by a brilliant staff will attend this function.
In this connection, it has been the custom of newly-appointed Governors General of Canada to make St Andrew’s ball the occasion of making their acquaintance with Montreal society.
The ball this year promises to be even more successful than on former occasions, when it has always been the event of the season in Montreal Society.
