My great-uncle Clair lived and worked in the construction industry.  His father was partner in the construction firm of Laurin and Leitch, and the company, which was quite large, made its living constructing sewers, power lines, and roads for the city of Montreal, and other municipalities on the islands of Montreal and Laval.  I think they also worked on the South Shore.

Uncle Clair was fascinated with construction and visited construction sites across the city and took pictures, and made notes on the back.  I lovingly call this photo collection the holes of Montreal, and I am going to start posting some of these pictures on my blog for others to enjoy.

Not sure where these were taken, but they were taken in 1976.

If anyone can identify the location of these shots, please contact me.
