Caledonian Games-  We give below the list of competitors and prize-winners at the Caledonian Games, held at Guilbault’s on Tuesday last.  Judges: Messrs. John Boyd and James Penny: Umpire: J. Mair, Esq.:-

There were nearly 2000 present, all of whom were highly delighted with the day’s amusements.

At the conclusion of the Games, which terminated at seven o’clock, it was moved by Mr. John Wood, seconded by Alex Bertram, and carried unanimously:

“That the Caledonian Society returns its sincere thanks to the ladies and gentlemen who have so kindly patronized them on this, their first annual gathering.”

Three cheers were then given for the Caledonian Society, after which the band played “God Save the Queen,” and the company dispersed.
