The late Mr. Leitch was a man of kind and genial disposition, devoted to his work of farming, and by the patience and perseverance of himself and member of his family built up one of the finest farm properties in the district. For many years he had a successful breeder of live stock, often acting as judge of live stock at neighbouring fairs. He was a member of his local school board, and also held office in the Cornwall Agricultural Society. The funeral took place on Friday afternoon last from his late residence to Woodlawn cemetery, Cornwall, and was largely attended, many calling to express their sympathy and sorrow in the death of a kind neighbor and friend. The service was conducted by the Rev. James Faulds, MA, pastor of Salem Church, Summerstown. The pall bearers were Messrs Donald McLennan, Kenneth McLennan, Alex Ferguson, Russell Cameron, James Brown and James A Hunter. The Rev. Mr. Faulds paid a high tribute to the deceased, referring to his fine character and worth as a member of the community.
