“A Curling Sang”

Air- “Ha ha, the wooing o’t”

Up, my lads, and to the ice,

Ha, ha, the curling O!

Yer stance and cook get in a trice,

Ha, ha, the curling O!

For Jock has challenged Will to play,

Davy and Saway both are gay,

And Sam and Jeremy are to tray,

Ha, Ha, the Curling O!

Toronto shields are to the bay

Ha, ha, the curling, O!

Newmarket chaps are in a fey,

Ha, ha, the curling, O!

Dundas and Hamilton so may try

Whilst stance can seal the toe line lie,

Aral Galt and Paris do not die;

Ha, ha, the curling, O!

Noo Kingston lads just at Quebec,

Ha, ha, the curling, O!

And Montrealers show yet pluck,

Ha, ha, the curling, O!

Scotia’s sons will watch yer play,

Their medals gie ata cry Lutta

Wi’ beef and green and Scotia they’ll say

Ha, ha, the curling, O!
